Run with the Wind Anime Review and ratings (Kaze ga Tsuyoka Fuiteiru)

Sports anime in the anime is the Essence of real-life related to the real world. Sports anime are most appreciated in the Otaku world even though they don’t contain the fantasy and the level of fiction that is mostly expected from the anime.

Run with the wind is a similar kind of Anime in which the love of running is expressed by the characters. This was a really new perception for me towards running and I think you also wouldn’t have think of running like this. I can guarantee you that you will get an urge to get out and run after watching this anime.

This story revolves around the character Haiji Kiyose who has a dream to run in the Hakone Ekiden Marathon, So he is secretively assembling the team to do it. He is a former runner who has to retire from running due to a severe injury. But still, the hope of running the marathon burns inside him. His team members who never had a direct relation to sports except for one guy “Kakeru Kurahara” have to train hard trying to even qualify for the Marathon.

Why you should watch Run with the wind?(Kaze ga Tsuyoka Fuiteiru)

Life Motivation-

If you have watched anime like Naruto and other anime based on dreams, you will know how important aspect it is in the anime world. In Run with the wind, the dream of Haiji Kiyose of running in the Hakone Ekiden Marathon despite of his leg Injury is really going to motivate you for chasing your own dreams in your life. The meaning of running behind the dream is given a new consciousness.

Gag and slice of life-

Run with the wind (Kaze ga Tsuyoka Fuiteiru) is filled with the Funny moments and never bore you for a second. The training episodes in the Anime is more fun to watch as there is an Otaku like us in the team of ten who is even slower than the butterfly to begin with. So Haiji trains all the people carry out their dreams and motivate them by all means necessary.

Pros and Cons-

Like most of the anime which has extreme action scenes and epic fights to engage the people throughout the anime. Run with the wind has done the job of engagements with the help of great storyline and the Awesome characters. Since this anime doesn’t have any fictional things this is pretty relatable to our real life. And the no of episodes In Run with the wind is low so no long term commitment is required (no filler episodes too!!).

Apart from that, you can learn many things from sports anime. Like the rules and the different types of methods and forms that are used. The most important thing is you get to live the shorter version of life a sportsman just through watching the anime. You get to feel how it is like to run in the marathon and what emotions emerge within the Sportsman. And who knows you might find your life’s purpose while watching anime!!

In Run with the wind, the fun and action don’t begins from the start as most of the anime. The first 3 episodes are used to build the foundations of the Anime like the Character introductions and the attempts to convince them to form the team by Haiji Kiyose. Although the fun graph of Run with the Wind starts from zero it definitely has exponential growth in the further episodes.

Another reason for Run with the Wind Anime is so underrated for is not having a satisfactory ending. Like most other anime the viewer always roots for the Protagonist to achieve his dreams and goals and win in his life. But in Run with the wind, the Writer has thrown light on the reality of the world which is not warmly welcomed in the Anime World and its fans.

Final thoughts-

In my opinion, Run with the Wind (Kaze ga Tsuyoka Fuiteiru) is a pretty great anime to watch if you like sports anime. It starts with fun and gag moments but changes its course through the 23 episodes towards more serious and tense moments with deep meanings and philosophies. It is pretty underrated and everyone should give it a try as it is definitely worth it.
